Amara slipped through the trees, stalking a small stag. It was a poor, weak looking thing, something that would probably be picked off by some predator if Amara didn't get to him first. She carried her bow in her hands, and a quiver of arrows on her back, one arrow already ready in her bow, at the ready.
She was close to the Order's lands, where she often spent her time. She had felt a bit restless that morning, though, and decided to trek out into the forest for a hunt. She wasn't trying very hard, though, and hadn't taken anything down yet.
She spotted the deer, pausing to graze for a moment. But suddenly, something startled the deer, and bounded off. Amara glanced around, wondering what had frightened him off.

Kronos was coming back from another failed attempt to acquire another GodFall weapon. He had gone in the abundance of rumors that said a man was terrorizing the lands whom wielded an unusual sythe but alas there was nothing but traces of his existance. The man had disappeared shortly before Omega had arrived. Qoppa had left many dead behind in his wake however, all of no relation to each other but of how they had died. The man had decapitated his victims, putting their heads aflamed on spikes and their bodies afloat down rivers. Whomever was in possesion of Qoppa must have been comsumed by now....
"Use me...You know the only way to defeat them is to become like them. Allow me to give you my knowledge--"
"Silence, you will not play with my head!" Kronos yelled and grabbed the Ji from his back with great ferocity. He noticed his surroundings as he held the Ji tightly. Not to far off he could se a small deer grazing on the forest floor. The weapon once again tried to poison his mind.
"Look at how feeble it looks. I know you can take your feelings out on it! Ooohh decapitate it an--"
"Enough!" Omega growled indignantly. "I will not have anymore of your temptations haunting me." He tried sending some lighting through the Ji but it mearly let off a heavy black smoke like gas. Quickly Kronos threw the smoking weapon away from himself. It flew through the air to bury itself into a tree the smoke swiftly began wrapping itself around the tree killing its cells like a cancer. This had startled the deer and it was quick to flee. Losing some vision and breathing slightly heavily than normal, Kronos buckled and fell to the ground. He was still concious but felt rather weak as some of Rho's smoke had made it into his lungs. Luckly it was not a significant amount to make permanent damage but was enough to cause him pain.

Amara saw a Ji embedded in a tree nearby, smoke wrapped around it, destroying the tree. She knew precisely what the weapon was, and who it belonged to-Kronos. She moved in the direction that the halberd had been tossed from, to find the man. She knew he'd gone off to try and find another Godfall weapon; she wondered if he was successful.
She spotted him, crumpled on the ground. "Omega," She gasped hurrying to him, and kneeling at his side. She could hear his breathing; it was heavier than it should be and seemed labored. "What happened to you?" She asked, hurrying to try and help him up.

Kronos strained his senses when he heard Amara's voice call his name. When she began trying to help him up his vision steadied but he felt nauseous and held his head with one of his hands. Looking up he saw her face and he tried to steady his breathing.
"I was unseccessful....It was gone before I got there. So...so many were dead." Nearly blacking out he shook his head and then looked at the Ji which had all but devoured the tree in which it was stuck into. "Rho started up again....I can't take his corruption any longer-- He's trying at my soul....No more, please I can't take it anymore. Without his opposite he will surely take me down next time."
Stopping his heavy breath he was able to make it up with Amara's help. Sighing he turned to her with a trying smile. He had not been born with the ability to withstand that weapon. Why had its previous owner bestow such a thing to him when he must have surely known that Kronos could not handle it. He had been blessed with Omega and that was the only GodFall weapon that seemed to help him to give him its power willingly. "Maybe it is not the will of the world for such weapons to be gathered together. Only one GodFall per the person worthy...."
"I'm sorry," He apologized to Amara. "I'm taking in pessimistic frustration...It is good to see you again."

She was reliefed when he stood and his breathing went back to normal. "Perhaps it is better under lock and key," She told Omega, looking back at the Ji. At least if the Order had it, the could keep it out of the hands of the Keep, but she didn't want its power to consume Omega. "Maybe its not the will of the world for one person to try and use them all," She mused, "Having them all gathered together in one place may be a different matter."
"I'm just glad you're alright," She said as he apologized. She reached up and gently brushed a few strands away from his face, before studying his face intently. "You will be alright now, won't you?" Perhaps it would be good if Cadelen or Chiki took a look at him.

When Amara wipped away the loose strands of hair from his face he genuinely smiled having a mostly cleared head to back it up. "Yes, I'll be fine now, thank you." He couldn't be certain of that but if he didn't deal with the weapon for a while the effects would most likely all but vanish. Concealing whatever doubt he may have his smile stayed and with what strength had returned to him he wrapped his arms gently around Amara.
"I presume I lost you that deer then?" Seeing her bow and quiver he tried to digress and change their topic to something less sore.

She smiled back at him as he gave her a real smile, which lingered, unlike the weaker ones he'd given her before. She wrapped her arms around him as he did the same, kissing him lightly on the cheek. She was glad to hear that he would be alright, though she could tell his strength hadn't yet returned to him completely.
She nodded when he asked about the deer. "I did," She said with a nod, "I haven't caught a thing, but I haven't been trying. I just needed some time outdoors, really." She'd actually been considering heading back to the Keep, in the small frame of time between the time she lost the deer and she came across Omega.

The small kiss on his cheek was a warmth unmatched in the time since he had last seen her. To him it was a reminder that there was something to keep going forwards for. In all respects this was a stupid thought but was enough to amuse his weakened mind. She then told him of her unfruitfulness in the hunting of the day, he slightly chuckled. He knew that feeling all too well of not trying hard enough and going just to feel the warmth of the sun or the cool touch of the forest breeze. In slight a slight joke to himself he reaffirmed her, "Well all hope is not lost. You've just caught quite the game."

She giggled lightly at his joke. "An excellent point," She said with a triumphant smile, "A rider is much a better catch than a measly deer. Especially one so handsome." She gave him a coy, flirtatious look as she spoke the last part. "Though I don't think I'll have your head mounted on my wall...you wouldn't be as much fun then," She added with a smirk. She hooked her arm through his, and started heading in the direction of the Keep. Even though he had insisted he was alright, she still thought some rest would do him some good, especially after his journey home. "Where's Alephia today?" She asked, raising an eyebrow, curious as to his bond's whereabouts.

"Ooh but I was looking forward to watching you all day." He shook his head at his own dumb remark as he couldn't think of anything better. Still he enjoyed her praise and like the kiss before it was a warmth of a different sort. It was so good he forgot about Rho and its snack of the day. They began walking towards the keep her arm locked in his and she placed upon him an inquiry of his bond's whereabouts. He looked up in contemplation on this matter as he had momentarily forgotten. "She went to investigate the land beyond the Caliat Sea...To see if there was anything she could gather on the GodFall." Though I wonder how she would find anything out, he thought, bonds are practically nonexistant there; the only ones being those whom abandoned the principals of the Order or Wing. "She seemed determined so I didn't deter her."

Amara chuckled slightly and shook his head at his comment. She listened intently to his explanation of where his bond had gone to, and was surprised to hear that she'd gone to cross the Caliat Sea. Amara rarely thought of what lay on the other side, seeing as so few seemed to sail away from either side of it. Little was known of what was there, and she was sure the same was true of their knowledge of their lands. "I hope she makes it there and back alright," She said. She'd grown fond of Alephia; she wouldn't to see anything happen to the pegasus.
She paused as the passed the tree that Rho had devoured. The halberd was now left in the blackened remains of it. "You better take that..." She muttered to Omega. Leaving it out in the open would be dangerous; hopefully Omega would have a way of transporting it without its power bothering him.

"I'm sure she'll be fine." Omega said on the topic of Alephia for slight condolence to himself more-so than for Amara. He trusted the pegasus but sometimes her actions slightly confused and worried him. Amara's worry was just as valid if not more than his. Suddenly his thought process was interupted when Amara paused and brought his attention once again to the GodFall weapon bored into the now dead tree.
In all truth he wished to not go near the weapon but he knew how to handle it without being affected. Reaching up he took off his top cloak which was made of a few layers of folded cloth. With his gloved right hand he grabbed Omega and allowed some of its mentality to flow into him. Keeping his hand on his sword he aproached Rho and took him from his perch carefully wrapping him until no part got a freash bit of air. Omega sent a small layer of an electrical field through and around the cloth to prevent anyone else getting to the Ji.
Turning to Amara he strapped the halberd to his back next to Omega and let go of his sword. "The protection should last until we get back to the keep. I think I know were to put it." He sighed and recomposed himself holding his arm out for Amara to take.

Amara could tell that he didn't want to go near the weapon again, but hopefully this would be the last time he'd have to deal with it for a while, if he had the sense to stop trying to wield it for a while. She really didn't want to see his mind consumed by such a dark object. She watched him as he retrieved his weapon from the tree, carefully wrapping it before placing it on his back.
She hooked her arm through his again and continued on their way back to the Keep. "That's good to know," She said, "Where are you going to put it?" The question was mainly one of curiosity, she wasn't about to go and mess around with it or anything foolish like that.

"There is a small tunnel chamber underneath the courtyard." Kronos answered Amra's inquiry. "The only way that I know of to get into it is from my chambers. It's -- as far as I can tell -- where the old more important scrolls were and still are kept. It's the same place I found Omega." He could still remember finding the weapon for the first time and the gloves that seemed to call for him to put them on and become one with the blade. At that time however he hadn't known that the weapon truely had its own concious. Instead he thought it a strange occurance. The blade had been left there and for him it was as if it was there for him.

She nodded at his explanation. "That's a good place to hide, especially if there's no other way in," She said, "And here I thought I knew every way to sneak into your room." She had been trained as a thief, and as such, she was good at finding hidden passages into and out of a room. She'd snuck into his room on more than one occasion; so it surprised her she hadn't found the chamber beneath the courtyard. But she'd been looking for a way in, and it didn't seem like there would be a way into his room unless you were already in the tunnel.
